About the Charlie Card[]
The Charlie Card is the smart fare card for the MBTA. It gives you a discounted price, the current fare for the bus is $1.50, the current price on the subway is $2.00. It was first introduced in December 4, 2006. It can be bought in retail shops as well in the CharlieCard store.
