Coach Bus Identical To Those Operated By Valley Transportation, Oxford CTEdit
Valley Transportation (defunct) once operated a regional semi-local bus route between the downtowns of Bridgeport and Waterbury. It is uncertain if there were weekend runs, but did not operate frequently. From Bridgeport Bus Terminal, it only picked up or discharged passengers with the city. Local stops commenced north of Broadbridge Avenue along Huntington Turnpike into Trumbull (briefly touching Stratford's boundary on the south side of the turnpike which would parallel State Route 8 (and toward the bus route's demise in the late 1970s, it operated as an express via the new Route 8 Expressway intermittently), serving the Nichols section of Trumbull, Shelton, Derby, the western section of Ansonia via Wakelee Ave., Seymour Center, Beacon Falls, Naugatuck, and via South Main St. in Waterbury (making local stops)..
