NYCT M14 & M15 BUS ROUTES

The M14 Bus Route is Currently 2 Routes: The M14A & the M14D & BOTH Operate out of Michael J. Quill Depot, which I would NOT Change. The M15 is also split into 2 Routes: The M15 LOCAL, which operates 24/7 & the M15 SBS (Select Bus Service) which Operates between 4AM & 11PM, Which I would make 24/7. The M15 LOCAL Operates out of Tuskagee Airmen Depot (Former 100th Street Depot) & the M15 SBS Operates out of Mother Carla Hale Depot. I would NOT Change a Thing about that.

CURRENTLY, The M14A Operates between Abingdon Square & Lower East Side via 14th Street, Avenue A/Essex Street & Grand Street. The M14D operates between Chelsea & Lower East Side via 14th Street, Avenue D, Houston Street & FDR Drive Service Road to the Last Stop on Delancey St…

NYCT M7, M9 & M12 BUS ROUTES

The M7 operates out of Mother Carla Hale Depot & I would NOT change a thing about that. The M9 & M12 operates out of Michael J. Quill Depot & I would NOT Change anything about that. The M7 Operates between Harlem & Midtown. The M9 Operates between Battery Park City & Hospital Mile. The M12 Operates between Abington Square & Columbus Circle.

The M7 First & Last Stop in Harlem is the Same as the M1, which is 1 Block from the # 3 Train Stop (Harlem-148th Street) & is right outside Mother Carla Hale Depot. As I have stated numerous Times in previous Blogs, I would rename the # 3 Train Harlem-148th Street stop to Mother Carla Hale-148th Street. The M7 follows the M1 to 139th Street. As I stated in MY Blog about the M1, M2 & M3 Routes, the M1 the…

NYCT M4, M8 & M11 BUS ROUTES

This Blog will deal with the M4, M8 & M11 Bus Routes in New York County (Manhattan). The M4 is Based out of Manhattanville Depot & I would keep it there. The M8 is Based out of Michael J. Quill Depot & I would keep it there. The M11 is Based out of Manhattanville Depot. I would Support Splitting the Route between Manhattanville & Michael J. Quill Depots.

The M4 DID Operate between Penn Station & Inwood. The FIRST & LAST Stop is Outside of Fort Tyron Park in Inwood. When the Cloisters Museum inside Fort Tyron Park is Open, ALL Buses Go to the Cloisters Museum inside Fort Tyron Park & When the Museum is Closed, ALL Buses Stop OUTSIDE the Park. I would NOT Change ANYTHING about that. Going to Fort Tyron Park, the M4 Travels along Fort Washingt…

NYCT M1, M2 & M3 BUS ROUTES

We Now start discussing the Bus Routes in New York County (Manhattan). We will begin with the M1, M2 & M3 Bus Routes. The M1 is based out of Mother Carla Hale Depot & should remain there. The M2 is based out of Manhattanville Depot. I would support having the M2 be Split between Manhattanville & Mother Carla Hale Depots. The M3 is based out of Manhattanville & should remain there.

The M1 goes from Harlem to East Village/Soho/Little Italy via Madison/5th Avenues. A Couple of Months ago, The M1 was Extended to from East Village to Soho/Little Italy, which I Support. Going from Soho/Little Italy to Harlem, the M1 Begins on Lafayette Street between Grand & Broome Streets on the Soho-Little Italy Border. The M1 Takes Lafayette Street into 4th Av…

BUS DEPOTS & BUS ROUTE ASSIGNMENTS

In this Blog, we will discuss Bus Depots & Bus Route Assignments throughout New York City as well as My Proposals on this Subject. Let's First understand some definitions. A Split Route is a bus route that has runs that are almost equally split or has a weekday/weekend service split between two bus depots. This is most common with LTD/LCL routes, but is not limited to these factors. Rush Hour Route is a bus route that has Rush Hour Peak (6:30-9:30AM and 3:30-8PM) runs assigned to it from a depot other than its home depot. School Route is a bus route that has a few trips to/from a school along a route assigned to it from a depot other than its home depot. Service As Assigned (SAA) refers to a depot that has run(s) where an one way trip is m…
